About Us

Job's Daughters is the premier leadership organization for girls between the ages of 10 and 20 who believe in God and are related to or know a Master Mason.

What do Job's Daughters do?

Through regular bi-monthly meetings, our members learn leadership and organizational skills. The members conduct their own business meetings, work on committees, plan fund-raising projects and volunteer within the community. Confidence is gained through public speaking and event planning.

Members have unique opportunities to better themselves academically as well. Committed Daughters are eligible for a variety of Masonic Family scholarships and loan options.

Daughters also have plenty fun at social events such as sleepovers, movie parties, dances and weekend workshops. Through active membership, girls form life-long friendships with their “Jobie Sisters.”

Is Job's Daughters a religion?

No. Job’s Daughters is not a religion, and does not require its members to follow any particular denomination, but simply to believe in God and in regular prayer to communicate with God. We study the biblical story of the life of Job as a foundation to learn patience and steadfastness in our faith, a common principle across many religions.

Job’s Daughters also promotes love of country and respect of the law, loyalty to each other, and respect for all persons, especially elders.

What's a "Bethel?"

Bethel is a word that means "holy place." In Job's Daughters, this refers both to our local group, and the place in which we meet. There are over 30 Bethels in Nebraska, and over 700 in the world!

What is the "Masonic Family?"

The Masonic Family is a network of fraternal organizations. This includes the Freemasons, Order of the Eastern Star, Shriners International, Daughters of the Nile, DeMolay for boys and Rainbow for girls. The central organization is Freemasonary, sometimes called the "blue lodge."

Members enjoy an entire “family” of support and encouragement, as they grow into the next generation of our community’s leaders. As an international organization, girls have the opportunity to make friends across the globe: from Canada, to Australia, to Brazil and even the Philippines!

Who can belong?

Many organizations, within and without the Masonic Family, require certain familial relationships, or a hertiage, to belong. Similarly, Job's Daughters is very proud of our connection to the honorable men who belong to Freemasonry, and the masonic heritage of each prospective member is researched prior to her joining.

Not sure if you have a masonic heritage? Don't worry! A Mason may also recommend you for membership. We'd be happy to introduce you the Masons involved in our Bethel.

When does Bethel 27 meet?
